Eliana Aurelia

I I have been associated with the relocation of professionals for essentially all of my 30-year career in real estate. We ourselves went through that process, with a two-year-old in tow, back in 1979. In my 'previous life' I was an Audiologist (you know, "Raise your hand when you hear the beep"). My husband Richard's profession as an Astronomer brought us to Tucson. I had been raised in New York City, spent time in Boston, and then had lived in Los Angeles and Pasadena over the course of seven years. Frankly, I came here kicking and screaming. What was this cowboy town I had agreed to move to? But then it happened - Tucson stole my heart. Richard and I have had tempting opportunities to move around the country, but nowhere else has been able to compete. We raised our two boys here; they received wonderful educations through the Tucson public schools. Alex was graduated from Harvard and has a Masters in Ancient Chinese History from U.C. Berkeley. He met Sophie Yang in Shanghai where they were married in a traditional Chinese ceremony. Alex is now a hedge fund analyst. Sophie is about to start a medical Residency program in Anesthesiology, with the last 3 years in Tucson!  Nathaniel (who I secretly hoped would do stand-up comedy, and eventually take over Stephen Colbert's job) completed a PhD in Immunology at Boston University.  Nathaniel segued from research to his true love, teaching. He married Fern Gibbons. They met at the University of Chicago as undergraduates. Fern, now a US Senate staffer, did her PhD at MIT/Woods Hole in Paleo-oceanography. They actually found the time to be wonderful Parents to Zeke, born in 2009 and Eliana born in 2015.

Richard promised me the Moon and the Stars and I bought it!
